It’s for the children…

I am responsible for myself and no one else.
NO ONE ELSE!
No one else is responsible for me.
NO ONE ELSE!

Al Capone

I’m tired of being told by progressives that I have responsibility for the rest of the human race. My free speech, right to private ownership, and every other right is supposed to be subordinate to the feelings of people who I have zero responsibility for.

Let me make it clear. I have responsibility for myself, minor children in my family, and elders in my family. That’s it. If you don’t share DNA with me, don’t you ever dare to tell me that I have a responsibility to put anyone’s feelings or welfare before me and mine.

I have to point out that responsibility isn’t Charity. Charity is of my own free will. I give because it makes me feel good. But the moment someone tells me i have a responsibility to give. It’s over!

Unfortunately, with the “progressives” there is unlimited demand for free stuff; free food, free housing, free college education and free money.

It has been proven, time and again that what you subsidize you get more of, in the current atmosphere that’s freeloaders, “gimme dats” and oxygen thieves.

I am responsible for myself and no one else.
NO ONE ELSE!
No one else is responsible for me.
NO ONE ELSE!

I may choose to help out others (which I actually do quite a lot) but ONLY BECAUSE I CHOOSE TO DO SO and not because I am obligated to do so.

There are very few people in this world that I can help. I learned this poignant fact long ago. Most don’t really want advice and tell you where to go.

The ones I can help I do. The ones I can’t, can go somewhere else. Most think if you throw money at their problems, the problems will go away. That’s not always true.

If I can’t help people, I simply pray about it and leave it in God’s most capable hands.

I’ve had folks tell me I’ve helped them and I don’t perceive how…wish I could have done more or better, but they seemed satisfied.

Al Capone said, “Do not mistake my kindness for weakness” . . . but they do and they remember . . . and come back . . . again . . . and again.

Ever noticed how the ones demanding YOU give rarely do themselves? Yes, I give joyously to those I choose to, but when a store clerk asks me if I would mind “rounding up” for cancer research or needy children I can easily say NO. What research? Whose children?

This world would be a much better place if everyone focused first and foremost on tending to their own business and let everyone else tend to their own, unencumbered.
